Here is the general voter suppression blog.
This blog will try to list some of the more blatant voter suppression efforts attempted in Alabama by the criminal, racist, unpatriotic Republican party.
Long Lines
Yesterday, during Saturday voting in Tuscaloosa, so many voters were in line, despite the rain, that the last voters didn't clear until after 4pm. People in Alabama stayed in line to vote during the football game, Roll Tide. pic.twitter.com/QakGt5US8M

Alabama, where early voting in the form of no-excuse in-person absentee voting is happening for the first time, had long lines despite pouring rain for 9-1 Saturday voting today. There were over 100 people in line in Bessemer who were able to stay & vote when they shut down at 1. pic.twitter.com/yqtLhMXBQR

Racist SCOTUS rules against Curbside voting in the middle of a pandemic
A 5-3 SCOTUS is unmoved by a Black man in his 70s with asthma and Parkinson’s disease who “recalled that his ancestors had died for the right to vote.” “And while I don’t mind dying to vote,” he said, “I think we’re past that — we’re past that time.” https://t.co/6MY6DkcNEY

By a 5-3 vote, #SCOTUS has put Alabama's ban on curbside voting back into effect, staying a district court injunction that had temporarily allowed localities to pursue such accommodations.

Curbside voting is one option that may be accessible & relatively safe for immunocompromised & disabled people. Voter suppression is racist, ableist, classist & ageist 👇#CripTheVote #Election2020 #2020Election #DisabilityCoalition https://t.co/earURweOe5

Hard to vote by mail in Alabama (GOP judges make it harder for older black people to vote)
A federal appeals court put a hold on part of a judge’s ruling that eased Alabama’s restrictions on mail-in voting for older citizens https://t.co/6mX2ZUxzKM

To vote by mail in Alabama you have to have access to a printer, a scanner, and a notary. Is it not like this everywhere?
